Odin's Raven
Odin's Raven
From the Viking sagas Odin, the one-eyed god, had two ravens that brought him news every night on what was going on in the world.  For worship, Odin was often hewn out of wood.  In Clarke's painting, Odin takes the form of the tree behind the Raven.
